A carbon-neutral event is one whose greenhouse-gas emissions, from travel, venue energy, hotels, food and materials, have been measured and fully balanced with verified carbon credits, so its net climate impact is zero. Climes measures the footprint, neutralises it with Verra and Gold Standard credits, and issues a certificate you can show anyone.
Three steps: measure the event's carbon footprint, neutralise it by retiring verified carbon credits equal to that footprint, and share the proof. Climes does all three in one platform, and lets your guests choose the projects live on the floor. For most events it takes days to set up and under five minutes for an attendee to take part.
By adding up emissions from attendee travel (usually the largest share), venue energy and AV, hotel nights, food and catering, and materials and logistics, using GHG Protocol emission factors. Climes' Carbon-OS platform estimates it in minutes from a few inputs, then firms the number up with real energy, travel and vendor data.
The cost scales with the footprint: roughly the number of tonnes of CO₂e the event produces, times the price of a verified credit. For a typical summit it is a small fraction of the overall event budget, and you can estimate it live in the calculator on this page.
Yes. Every project is third-party verified and listed on public registries such as Verra and the Gold Standard. Each credit is permanently retired against your event, traceable in the registry by anyone, and can never be issued to anyone else.
